THE PLAYER by K. Bromberg: Release Blitz, Teasers, Trailer & Mary’s Review
Baseball has never been sexier in an all-new novel by New York Times Bestselling Author, K. Bromberg.
Easton Wylder is baseball royalty. The game is his life. His passion. His everything.
So, when an injury threatens to end Easton’s season early, the team calls in renowned physical therapist, Doc Dalton, to oversee his recovery. Except it’s not Doc who greets Easton for his first session, but rather, his daughter, Scout. She may be feisty, athletic, defiant, and gorgeous, but Easton is left questioning whether she has what it takes to help him.
Scout Dalton’s out to prove a female can handle the pressure of running the physical therapy regimen of an MLB club. And that proof comes in the form of getting phenom Easton Wylder back on the field. But getting him healthy means being hands-on.
And with a man as irresistible as Easton, being hands-on can only lead to one thing, trouble. Because the more she touches him, the more she wants him, and she can’t want him. Not when it’s her job to maintain the club’s best interest, in regards to whether he’s ready to play.
But when sparks fly and fine lines are crossed, can they withstand the heat, or is one of them bound to get burned?

MARY’S 5 STAR REVIEW
I had the great fortunate to receive an ARC of Kristy Bromberg’s upcoming release The Player. Awww, be still my beating heart! Kristy has such an amazingly unique gift of storytelling. With just the right mix of sweet and sexy to reel us into the world she creates with her books. The Player is no exception. It was so easy to fall in love with both Easton and Scout… not to mention this is one hell of a sports romance. Now add to that two dynamic personalities, chemistry that is molten hot and enough fireworks to keep you on the edge of your seat. Oh, did I mention tons of ANGST? Brilliantly written and oh my gosh the feels!
Easton Wylder, son of legendary, retired Austin Ace player, Cal Wylder, is following in his dad’s footsteps into the pro world even playing for the same team. His stats are on track to be one of baseball’s greats. That is until Easton finds himself on the disabled list, following an on-field injury. While baseball is what Easton lives, eats and breathes his need to get back to the game is the impetus to bring in the best for his rehab. Doc Dalton is the best of the best, legendary in his own right. When Easton arrived for his first physical therapy session to find a cute, curvy female there for his treatment, instead of Doc, he just knew it was payback for the gags he had played on his teammates. Thinking Scout was in on this act Easton was a totally arrogant, egotistical a$$. Assuming she was there as a boy toy he took little time pushing her buttons. Scout Dalton, is the daughter of Doc Dalton. She is also following in her dad’s footsteps and even more importantly she is determined to do a good job rehabbing Easton. Her goal of landing the PT contract with the Austin Aces. While the sight of Easton half clothed body may have momentarily left Scout wordless she was quick to show him just how feisty she could be too. After getting off to a rocky start it would be Scout’s resolve to do her job and get Easton back on the playing field. But what happens when everything she does is met with an innuendo? Plus, the fact that Easton is unrelenting in his intention of getting Scout to go out with him. Then came that all-consuming kiss and what had until now been a line that would not be crossed. Once Scout crossed that line how would she ever be able to switch off the feelings and emotions that being with Easton had unleashed. The push and pull of emotions would only culminate into one of the most passionate and carnal evenings of sex. gah!!! GOOD LORD, I will never see or think of batting nets the same way again!! The Player is so much deeper than injured player, sexy PT to rehab. In some ways, both Scout and Easton have lived similar lives. Growing up in the shadows of their dad’s careers would they ever get the approval that they both wanted? Geez an ending that will not only leave you stunned but eager for The Catcher. So I’ll be waiting #patientlynotpatiently!! ****BTW The Catcher is coming in July!!! (less) |
