MARY’S 5 STAR REVIEW
Buried Alive is one of those books you just CAN NOT PUT DOWN!! Stacey is a new author to me but let me tell you I devoured this book from the start. A fantastic read, emotional, at time heartbreaking so, of two broken and tortured souls. But holy hotness these two are like a stick of dyn–a-mite!
Hannah Jennings was returning home to Whistler, Canada to visit with her parents at Christmas. It had been nine years since she had left and there was unfinished business to attend to. Hannah left after a horrible tragedy with the hope that she would find peace. Though she did move forward physically with her life was still haunted by the tragic event she ran from in the first place.
Rhys Axton! He is totally sex on a stick or I should say a snowboard…. A big-time player. Dark, tatted, moody and brooding just the kind of bad boy that leaves the girls squirming with anticipation.
Rhys was in Whistler to qualify for the Olympics. Living in the shadow of his older brother, who was also a skateboarder, he had been tormented for years with doubts he would ever measure up to his brother.
It’s inevitable that Rhys and Hannah meet since Hannah was working with her dad, the Chef, at the ski lodge. Her first delivery would of course be to Rhys room. While Rhys had the niggling feeling that he knew her somehow, he couldn’t figure out how. Hannah, knew exactly how and hit her like a ton of bricks and. Memories flooding back taking her to that dark place from years ago.
Rhys, is fixated with Hannah, so much so he requests the lodge to have her assigned exclusively for his room service. Hannah knew this was going to be trouble yet she did it anyway. Just how she would handle it was unclear.
There was something so alluring between the two of them it was impossible to ignore the chemistry that ricocheted between them. These meeting would often be quite contentious but there were also times when they would drop the walls and just talk further bonding their relationship. Growing closer it was easy for them to understand and console each other leading to feelings that neither would acknowledge.
But what happens when Hannah’s past begins to surface again?
Will she and Rhys survive it?
Buried Alive is a MUST READ and it certainly made my heart go pitter-patter!!
