Once again, I am left astonished by Kandi’s amazing words! She has this gift when writing that pulls so many feels and emotions from me when I read I can’t put the book down. Say Yes is a complicated and complex love story set in 1996 Florence, Italy. A story of total opposites that found themselves in the same art class… one a perfectionist, the other who habitually waits to the last minute. Say Yes is a heartfelt and oft emotional/angsty story that will most certainly leave an imprint on your heat. Harley Chambers was born with a birth defect, symbrachydactyly, a hand that did not fully develop. Yet, in spite of this she has been blessed with the gift of painting. For years she had won art awards and had always been known as the artist with the hand. Through her excellence at painting this how she ended up in Florence for the summer, to hone her craft. Then there is Liam Benson, an exceptionally handsome guy. Broody, elusive, the professor’s pet and Harley’s adversary. Running from complications of life. When Harley’s world begins to crumble at the lack of approval from her professor of her assignments, he offers her some advice. “You need to get out and live in order to understand the emotions your trying to create. Let go of this desire to be perfect.” But all that starts to change one evening when following her professor’s advice, she steps outside her world of perfection and chooses to live. To live and feel the emotions of what she paints! So, that is exactly what Harley does, allowing herself to say “yes’ to anything for the night. But when Liam show up in her “yes” night will take her outside of the perfect world she is used to. Allowing spontaneity to bloom and guide them through the night. They have a night of unscripted fun, feelings and first. A night that unleashes a lot of freakin hot chemistry between them, making them want more. It was a night when two perfectly imperfect people found each other. Liam dealing with the baggage in his life and Harley insecurities about herself and allowing her hand as a means to drive her goal for perfection. The night was magical, and I love how Liam kept taking picture of their night together with the little camera he bought. Sealing the friendship and the summer with both benefits with a finite time of the end of the semester. But what happens when both Liam and Harley decide they want more than the semester with each other? Forever? Then Liam disappears without a word of where or why. As Harley’s world crashes down, she’s left both heartbroken and bewildered. Would this be the end of Liam and Harley? Say Yes is one of the best books I’ve read this year and I highly encourage you to read it. LOVED this book soooo much!! 5+ Stars from me.

Kandi Steiner is a bestselling author and whiskey connoisseur living in Tampa, FL.
