Jake
I can’t believe my coach assigned me a tutor. I dominate the field and between the sheets—who cares about grades?
But Claire doesn’t treat me like I’m stupid. When we’re not busy arguing like idiots, she actually encourages me. Something no other woman had done before. And with those sexy curves of hers, I know just how to thank her. And thank her thoroughly.

Draw Playis a steamy standalone, full-length football sports romance novel. It’s only recommended for audiences 18+. No cheating. No cliffhangers. Guaranteed HEA.

WARNING: SPICE LEVEL – HOT!
A few minutes later my phone vibrated on the table, and I read a text message that sent shivers down my body. I want you, Claire. I’ll make you beg. I’ll fuck you until you can’t feel your legs. Whisper in your ear to come for me while you dig your nails into my back.
“Oh my God,” I blushed uncontrollably as his hand made its way back onto my legs. “Jake, stop!”
“Do you really want me to?” he whispered, moving steadily upward. “Tell me you really want me to, and I will.”
I should have. I knew that I should have. I should have made Jake stop. We were in the library, for crying out loud. People studied there. And we weren’t alone.
I looked around. I didn’t see any cameras. At the same time, that sneaky hand reached the inside of my thigh. I gasped, closing my eyes.
“I’ll stop. I will.” His hand disappeared up my skirt.
I opened my legs slightly, aching for his touch.
“Hmm,” he whispered, “I think you want me to keep going.”
MARY’S 4 STAR REVIEW
Draw Play is the debut novel from Tia Lewis and holy cow it was great! As you can tell from the name it’s a sport romance book. But how is Tia going to pair up a star football player with a nerdy pre-law girl? Let me tell you it’s a steamy story with plenty of heart stopping action.
Jake is a star player in his senior year of college. Known around campus as a party guy and womanizer. With his future pointing to playing in the pros he finds that he is in jeopardy of losing his position to play because of his grades. With a big University game to win approaching, not to mention that scouts from the pros will be around, his coach had decided he needs to get his grades up to keep him on the team.
Claire, who is a pre law student, has returned for the year to find out her job in the book store has been cut. At a loss of what to do for money, she gets excited when she gets the call for a tutoring job. Not only is it a dream job but she’ll make double what she did in the book store. Can you see where this is going?
Yeah, Claire is assigned as Jakes tutor for the semester. Not only does Jake not like the idea of having a tutor but when he sees it’s Claire he’s not a happy guy. After a previous run in between the two of them, let’s just say they are both less than thrilled. Claire sucks it up and jumps right in.
Once Jake begins to see that Claire is there to help him and begins to show him how to study things start changing for him. Claire discovers that Jake was more than just a jock…. he is smart, he is thoughtful and he is kind. She had prejudged him because of unresolved issues. While Jake found Claire to be quirky, fun but he’s also in awe because of her smarts.
Their study nights at the library began to get playful and the banter was fun. The two of them start looking forward to the study sessions. As the meetings in the library continue the banter between them only gets more heated. And you’ll never believe what happened at the library either!! I’d love to tell you but you’ll need to read to find out what happened.
Getting closer to each other the dichotomy of the difference of their lives growing up was not lost. While Jake was popular and a jock, Claire had not been popular, in fact she was nearly destroyed by a football player she had tutored. Jake had been raised by a single mom at home and never had anything but his football while Claire had been raised by two loving parents with lots of love and nurturing.
Draw Play was a fun and fairly quick book to read. The dynamite chemistry between Jake and Claire was off the charts hot and the story left me wanting more of Jake and Claire.
