She lets out a sigh of relief, but my cock hears something different in her gasping exhale. I bring my thumb slowly to a speck at the side of her mouth, fingers resting on the round perfection of her jawline. She stills under my touch and catches my gaze, time slowing with the deliberateness of my movements.
I brush the speck, but don’t pull away. Cole Chambers is a well-known celebrity. Syndicated TV shows and owned the most popular restaurant in LA, Knife. He had paid his dues and worked hard to earn the reputation he has. Cole is passionate about what he does and his restaurant was his baby. No body dared to say otherwise.
Willow is new to LA. After the failure of her restaurant in Idaho her BFF Tony had talked her into moving to LA. The plain was for her to find a place to work. Then, when the time was right they would fulfill their longtime dream of opening a restaurant together. As luck would have it, Willow is hired to work at Knife as a line cook…. LA’s premiere restaurant!! Dreams are now on the back burner.
You’ll find out quickly that Willow is not one to hold her thoughts back and it doesn’t talk long to put her foot in her mouth. Not only that, but it’s with her new boss, Cole Chambers!! One of the things I loved about Willow was her self-confidence and her passion for what she wanted. It’s with this same confidence that has her knocking on Cole’s door the next afternoon. Even though he was both stunned and impressed that Willow returned. He was even more seduced by her beauty and honesty. Furthermore, there was something about Willow that piqued not only his attention but his libido too!
Cole easily became comfortable with Willow. He respected her as a fellow chef, as someone he could trust and her passion for cooking was equal to his, in spite of their different philosophies. Holy moly the chemistry between these two is amazing and so sizzling hot you feel it!! That night at the club, after hours at Knife when Willow cooks for Cole. The emotions and the heat you fell from these sexy times …. gah!!
But Willow has a secret. One that could change everything and she knows it.
The real question is what will Cole do?
Cocky Chef is fantastic and my new favorite Hawkins book!! Cole and Willow are cooking up a lot more than just food in the kitchen!! And that ending will leave your heart full.
