Combust is the second book in the Everyday Hero’s Series from K. Bromberg. OMG, the FEELS!! There is something really, truly special about Combust that I’ve had a really hard time putting into words. It makes you feel, it makes you laugh, it makes you cry but most of all it made my heart pitter-patter unconditionally. Grady Malone is going to steal your heart just like he stole mine!

Grady Malone is baby of the Malone brothers. He is a smokin hot firefighter, complete with 8-pack abds, baby blues and a cocky smile that would melt any girl’s panties. He is a special breed of men that chooses a life of service to their community. As part of the Sunnyvale F.D. he is doing what he loved, until that fateful day…. the day that will change his life.

Then there is Dylan McCoy. A talented songwriter who has the sweetest soul but she also battles with insecurities. Under contract to write lyrics for a petulant, moody, reckless, rock star Jett Kroger, who is precariously close to trashing his career if he doesn’t change his way. Not only that, but he has been her boyfriend of the past two years. It’s when Dylan walks in on her boyfriend with her friend in her bed that she walks away from him without a backwards glance.

There are so many things about Combust that wrapped around my heart. Feeling the struggles that both Grady and Dylan fought daily tugged at my heart. The fears that Grady dealt with and the limitations he placed on himself. Yet Grady is such a good man…. he was kind and thoughtful and gentle and had the biggest heart. swoon Dylan, even with all her talent and success and selflessness was filled with insecurities. While their banter was cute it also warmed my soul. It gave me so much hope for these two broken souls to find the path to each other.

But will an unexpected AND uninvited guest push them to the next level?

What happens next will have you laughing as well as turn those smoldering embers to a full fledge blaze!

Combust is EVERYTHING you want in a romance book, EVERYTHING!!! Absolutely my FAVORITE book of this new year!! Not to mention this is why I continue to read everything from Ms. Bromberg!! Definitely a MUST read!!
