MARY’s 5 STAR REVIEW
You know that feeling you get when you finish a series and you just go WOW? That is exactly how I felt when I got to the end of Found. You knew diving into the book that Tucker would have served some time in prison. That’s exactly where we find him….and Char three years later. As she stands waiting for him to be released and come back to her.
During this three year time has changed for Char and Tucker. They got married, which created a media fiasco, Char got a new job and even though incarcerated Tucker completed his college degree. But Tucker had a hard time and let the fact that he was a felon hold him back.
My heart broke for both Char and Tucker. Tucker’s insecurity and self-loathing was so destructive not only to him but to Char . Taking on not only the burden of his crimes but the effect of its repercussions on Char’s life causing him to withdraw further into himself. Yet Char was at the other end of the spectrum living in a dream world that as long as they were together everything would magically be fixed because of their love for the other. Unfortunately, that was not the case.
At times the frustration I felt just made me want to shake both of them! Tucker to just let go and stop shutting himself off from Char. And at times how Char seemed to paint such a rainbow perfect world for them. Ignoring the fact that Tucker might not see the rosy future she did and not allowing Tucker to share his feelings.
It wasn’t until a feisty, frustrated and horny Char exploded and had her way with Tucker that she began to break through the prison that Tucker had constructed around his heart. That carnal, white hot connection that had been there before began to surface between them. The passion and salaciousness of their love before Tucker’s arrest began to take over and bring them closer together.
That’s not to say that it was a bed of roses for them either. There were still many obstacles that they had to hurdle…. one being Char’s Mom, a wicked, evil person, who always had her own agenda for Char. Not to mention the personal demons that dwelled within Tucker from his time in prison.
Would Tucker be able to let his time and feelings from being in prison go?
Was there enough of a connection to get them through these rough times?
Once again Carrie Aarons had delivered not only a top notch series but one that will touch your heart. Tucker and Char’s story is one that will always remind me that love sometimes comes with a huge dose of faith.
