I’d be amiss if I didn’t try to lay claim to Rush McKenzie!! sigh Hard to Hold was such an unexpected pleasure and one of my favorite books this year. It’s so much more than just a sports romance. It’s about family. It’s about integrity. It’s about being vulnerable. It’s about trust. It’s also about that unexpected turn you take in life that becomes your everything!! Lennox never really have a chance of how her life would be forever changed when she met Rush McKenzie! Their first meeting was one of sparks, insta lust and a definite knowledge of good times ahead. Lennox Kincade is the third of the four Kincade sister working at Kincade Sports Management, the company founded by their dad. As the story starts, Lennox already questioning her competency or value at the family business. It’s when schmoozing among fellow Sports Summit attendees after a long day, when all Lennox wanted to do is leave the evenings events. That is before she was blocked exiting the building overhearing the familiar voice of her nemesis, Finn Sanderson. Attached to that voice were insinuating insults and misogynistic comments about her. After recently being accused of involvement in a scandal back home in the UK. All Rush wanted was away from the insanity. Johnny’s offered of down time at his house to get away from the buzz at home. Explaining how Rush came to be a guest at Johnny’s house. But Lennox learns that as part of her contract she is going to have to work closely with Rush. Not only that but she will have to appear with him at events too. How is this going to work when there is already enough sexual tension gyrating between them? With chemistry that is undeniably scorching hot, the pool meet. Plus, the push and pull between them that keeps you in stitches, the loo scene. For two people who don’t really do relationships they sure seem to be headed that way. There are so many things about Rush that will have you swooning too. There is also a serious side to Rush too. He knows that his future is in limbo and is willing to do the work to get his spot back on his team. Yet, you’ll also see another side of Rush that will not only make you fall in love with but will tug at your heartstrings. Rush is kind, he’s sincere, he’s has the biggest heart, and he’s loyal to a fault. But what happens when the last person you expect has your back? There are still so many twists and turns in Hard to Handle it will keep you on the edge of your seat!! Both Lennox and Rush know that this contract will come to an end. Rush will return to the UK to face his future. Lennox will return home and to the family business. Would this be the end of Rush and Lennox? Hard to Handle is an absolute MUST BUY!! PS. If I could add something to my wish list it would be to have a book about Johnny!! After all what an amazing friend he is!!
