	Holy freakin smoke!! Hooked was the perfect in EVERY WAY. Sweet! Sexy! Incredibly romantic! Hot damn if it doesn’t just turn up the heat from the very start. The feels, gah!! It won’t take long for Jake to steal your heart either. There will be moments of sadness in Hooked but how they play into the story will touch your heart. Could Jake and Miranda have been more different? Jake, is a smoking hot, sex with a stick, hockey star but he is also pretty arrogant, rocks a dirty mouth and is used to g Holy freakin smoke!! After being assigned to the penthouse rooms Miranda grabs her work cart and heads up to clean the rooms. It’s in Jakes room that she has an itty-bitty accident, getting ink on one of Jakes white shirts, while he is out of the room. Not sure what she should do with it, she ends up throwing it into the garbage. While keeping her job was at the top of her list of things to do, little did she want to let her boss man find out she was responsible for it missing. Geez, was her boss ever a nightmare. I loved Miranda’s character! She is smart, driven and beautiful. She works two jobs to make ends meet. Not only that she is trying to make ace her classes to get a scholarship. But what happens when Miranda meets Jake? Would it be a distraction that she could avoid? One look is all it took for Jake to decide she would be his. The problem with that is that she wanted nothing to do with Jake especially with him barking out orders to her! Although Jake was relentless about asking her out, Miranda would shut him down. Was it the endless banter or Miranda’s self-reliant, I don’t need anything from anyone attitude that attracted Jake’s interest? Whatever it was it Jake definitely had his sight set on Miranda. In Jakes mind, and heart, he knew that Miranda was special. Of all the girls, he had dated her interest was only in him…not the money, the fame or the status. Whether it was determination or Jake’s persistence he finally succeeded at wearing her resolve down. Good Lord were the two of them dynamite together! The passion, the intensity, oh so panty melting! Jake spending his time helping Miranda study, passing up his king size bed for Miranda’s lumpy double size bed… sounds pretty hot to me. Hooked was a first time read by Brenda Rothert for me but let me say I definitely will be reading her work again!! A well written book with an absolutely warm hearted HEA!!
