“Two men.
One goal.

You thought the Resurrection was phenomenal, wait until you get into The Rising!! This book is exceptionally crafted and once again it’s written in 4 POV’s which is absolutely brilliantly done!! Another thing I might mention is that this is the fourth book of the Unlawful Men Series and should be read in the order of writing. So sit back and get ready for one heck of an intense ride filled with tons of action that kept me on the edge of my seat. Danny and James knowing that the wrong man was shot, after they receive a gloating call from the Bear. The two of them also know this it is inevitable that they will at some point be going back to Miami. But it becomes apparent as things begin to go awry in Miami that times up and the time has come to ready for the return to Miami and show just who is in control of the area, this time though they are not leaving Rose and Beau behind this time. Although things are a bit unsettled between Danny and Rose in St. Lucia, Beau and James are also having some of their own issues, mostly with Beau dealing her losses and staying busy. But what seems to help Beau with her being there is that her and Rose have become real friends. They are there for each other through thick and thin, having each other’s back. With Rose being pregnant and pregnancy hormones, Beau tends to coddle/humor her. Rose on the other hand tends to help keep Beau in a happy place. The two are near inseparable and respect and care for each othe Danny and James have also found common ground and a healthy dose of respect and camaraderie too. That grows into a bromance complete with tons of banter. While they know that the time in St. Lucia has been a reprieve for them they also know that with the unrest in Miami it’s time to return. And when The Brit and The Enigmas return to Miami it doesn’t take long for the carnage to begin either. Not only that but there are new players in the mix now, most especially a new busy-body cop who is out to make a name for herself. Add to that more animals (henchmen) were added to the Bears zoo. Hang on for the many twists and turns Danny and James, frequently putting them in harm’s way. Sacrifices are made. Secrets are revealed. And through it all these couple love hard knowing that their time may be limited. I know it seems kind of unconscionable to love The Brit and The Enigma, yet these two men have such a protective and undeniable love for their women you just couldn’t but adore them. “You’re my wife. You’re my lover. You’re my best friend. My be-all and f***ng end all, Rose Lillian Black. But most importantly, you are the mother of my children.” Danny **** “My light. Ever shrouded in darkness. And as ever, I’m drawn to her.” James **** “All we both f****** want is peace. Calm.
